About Me
Hello and welcome! I’m Sarah, and I’m on a mission to help people take control of their finances, get out of debt and create a life of security and financial freedom.
I understand completely how debilitating taking care of finances can be. In 2011, I became a homeless single mom. For many years, I worked multiple jobs so I could continue to homeschool my daughter and be able to provide for us. It was not an easy road, I spent so many years in survival mode, I forgot what life was like without a constant financial struggle. realize there was another option. and there were many times I wasn’t sure financial freedom would ever happen. I kept focused on the goal and after a few years, I was able to create a life of financial stability for us.
In 2018, I met and married my husband – in less than 90 days, but that’s a story for a different day! Eight months later he suffered a brain injury, 49 days in the hospital, and a mountain of medical bills. He was no longer able to continue working.
I am the full time caregiver for both my husband and my mother, who lives with us, in addition to being a mom, grandma and coolest Aunt ever. Over the years I have built a nice sized ebay business, and worked many side gig jobs so I could pay the bills, and get us out of debt. Thankfully, now we are debt free – including our mortgage, vehicles and business.
However, due to many years in survival mode, and many years paying off debt, I’m not in a position to be able to retire. My focus now is to build our retirement savings and to organize and declutter our home. I’m doing this by living frugally, adding to our retirement savings in consistent steps through non traditional 9-5 jobs, and budgeting hacks.
In addition to financial coaching, I’ve also taught classes in my community on how to save money and find deals. I’ve created a free facebook group of 3.7k people who connect and share tips for getting out of debt and saving money in all areas of life.
I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others reach their financial goals. I believe that everyone deserves to live a life feeling secure and that financial peace is within reach for anyone who’s willing to work for it.
On this blog, you’ll find tips and strategies for saving money, getting out of debt, and living within your means. I also offer one-on-one financial coaching and budget reviews, where I can help you identify areas where you can save money and create a plan for achieving your financial goals.
